At his current role as Head of Digital Direct, Nandor has the end-to-end responsibility for Qantas’ digital sales and service channels, including, mobile apps. His team is responsible for designing and delivering a seamless digital experience to our customers. A key focus area for them in 2018 was a major digital transformation which entails the implementation of a new digital operating model and agile ways of working. The teams aspiration is high and we aim to establish a world-class digital team.

Nandor joined the Qantas Group 5 years ago, initially with Jetstar for the first 3.5 years where he held the positions of Head of Distribution and then Chief Digital Officer. One of the key achievements at Jetstar was the implementation of the “Smart Retailing” program, which saw the redesign and re-platforming of all digital channels, as well as the introduction of a customer data platforms such as the CRM and predictive analytics platforms.

Prior to Jetstar, Nandor worked over 9 years at Virgin Australia (initially Virgin Blue). His last role there was Head of E-Commerce and Ancillary. Prior to this role, he held various Program Management and Project Management roles over a period of around 6 years. The biggest 2 programs Nandor managed was the launch of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Program, as well as the launch of V Australia, the long-haul subsidiary of Virgin Blue.

Before immigrating to Australia in 2003, Nandor started his career at IBM in Switzerland and completed a Masters degree in Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH).
