Beyond the Hedge is a full service creative agency that has been operating for 4 years. The Team philosophy is “our designs are your growth”. They help their clients take a holistic look at their approach to marketing and help them grow through effective branding, graphic and digital design.

It all started with doing what they loved – focussing on good creative, and having developed and honed their positioning and planning as the company has evolved.

Julia Harrison, Director of Beyond the Hedge has some sound advice for anyone starting out in the industry, “Don’t try to be everything to everyone – work out what your strengths are and deliver on those consistently. Don’t be afraid to turn down work”.

Julia and her team are continuing to work with the City of Parramatta on some branding and design work and a really exciting project for NSW Department of Primary Industries – ( of which they’ll be able to talk more about soon, so follow them on socials for updates).

Beyond the Hedge, really loved working with the City of Parramatta this year on their Census toolkit, which included producing an animation that talks about the demographics of the City of Parramatta: They have also been very excited to work on data visualisation projects with the NSW Department of Primary Industries and the Centre for Population Health. Data storytelling is a really interesting field to be working in and something they’re helping both government and business clients realise the full potential of. Julia mentioned that this is a powerful way to communicate meaningful insights, and increase engagement and interaction across digital channels.
